I have been working as a web developer since 2004.  Prior to that I wrote some Microsoft Access applications using Visual Basic and realised that with the rapid growth and adoption of the internet it was time to acquire some online development skills.

My development experience covers the following languages and technologies:

• PHP
• MySQL
• HTML/CSS
• Codeigniter PHP framework
• WordPress
• Drupal
• Javascript

I have worked with other technologies to do projects like website conversions and done a small amount of ASP, but only cos they made me!  Most importantly though I really enjoy using these skills to produce interactive websites with embedded applications and CMS functionality. (Content Management System)

With a lot of the projects I work on I also conduct the application specification process from which I provide a document that clearly defines how the website or application will function.  Depending on the scale or complexity of the project the amount of time this process takes can vary from a few hours consultation and write up to a few days.
